Unlock health reports, traits, disease reports, as a Genetic Practitioner I can help you understand your results properly.

Insight #1 - Pharmacogenetics

Pharmacogenomics is a field of research that studies how a person’s genes affect how he or she metabolize or respond to medications. This field of genetics may help inform healthcare providers’ medication selection and dosing. While it cannot confirm which medications or doses will work for a patient, it can point out potential issues with medications.

Pharmacogenomics is a revolutionary field that leverages an individual's genetic makeup, or genome, to personalize medication selection and dosage. Gone are the days of one-size-fits-all medications! Instead of relying on potentially harmful pharmaceuticals with unwanted side effects, you now have the opportunity to explore a high-quality, handcrafted, gluten-free, vegan, and cost-effective regimen that is bio-available.

As a genetic practitioner, I can offer you personalized recommendations for a custom supplement based on your unique genetic blueprint. By identifying your highest genetic risks, we can create an all-in-one supplement formula tailored to help you achieve optimal health. Embracing this approach allows you to take control of your well-being and make choices that align with your genetic predispositions.

Insight #2 - Functional Nutrition

Diets plans often focus on controlling the number of macronutrients you eat: carbohydrates, fats, and protein. However, they don’t account for a major factor: genetics!

Depending on your genes, you may need to adjust your macros based on your ability to process them. Taking this personalized approach to your nutrition is how you can build a diet plan that will help you feel your best!

Genetic reports show you how you process each macronutrient, helping you choose a diet that makes sense for you and your genes!

We also check your genes and give you personalized, actionable advice for:

  • Choosing the right types of dietary fat

  • Getting enough vitamins and minerals

  • Addressing food sensitivities

  • Improving your eating habits

"With an emphasis on personalized food and lifestyle approaches to wellness and disease management, functional nutrition focuses on the patient (not just on their disease or condition) while taking a holistic approach to optimizing an individual's health based on their unique needs," says registered dietitian Jess Cording, M.S., R.D., CDN. Mindbodygreen

Insight #3 - Analyzing Blood work and Genetics

“All your blood tests came back normal, you’re perfectly healthy.”

Before I got into genetics and biohacking, these words were constantly echoed by every doctor I visited for years.

But that was definitely not the case, as I was battling with a myriad of symptoms, including fatigue, brain fog, tremors, and much more.

So, why were they saying my lab results were normal?

I knew, just because your labs are in the “normal range,” it doesn’t mean they’re optimal for me. I lived with my symptoms daily.

When conventional medical doctors look at your results, they’re looking at them through a black and white lens. You’re either sick or you’re not, so the normal range tends to be very broad because of their training. My Functional Medicine Doctor taught me to look at the gray area and lab trends.

For example, Vitamin B12 levels – which are significant for energy levels – are considered normal if they’re between 200-900pg/mL. There is a huge difference between the low and the high, but anyone that falls within that range is put under the same category.

In reality, the optimal level is 500pg/mL or above. If you had levels of 200pg/mL, your doctor will probably not even mention anything. In truth, you are extremely below the optimal range.

That’s why I still felt horrible even though doctors said nothing was wrong with me. It wasn’t until I found out the importance of getting your results into the ideal levels that my life started changing.

Insight #4 - Bio-Hacking

When it comes to personalizing your healing path. Bio-Hacking, is where you can build a bio-individualized plan based of your genes, sensitivities, nutrients, neurotransmitters and more.

You can discover things like airborne mold sensitivities, this is not an allergy to mold but an in people with mold sensitivity, the immune system overreacts to inhaled mold. A reaction can cause unpleasant symptoms such as coughing and itchy eyes [R].

People with asthma are more prone to mold sensitivity. In some of them, mold exposure can disrupt breathing and trigger asthma attacks [R].

Insight #5 - Set up future generations for optimal health

Imagine the power of using your genetic insights to not only benefit yourself but also your loved ones, both present and future generations. By understanding your genetic risk factors, you can make informed choices to help your children, parents, siblings, cousins, and others in your family avoid disease diagnoses.

If you have a family history of conditions like depression, ADHD, or other psychiatric disorders, you may be looking to break the cycle. With your genetic results in hand, you can have a meaningful conversation with your doctor about commonly prescribed medications for treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more.

This knowledge empowers you to make informed decisions about adjusting medications or exploring holistic approaches that focus on nutrition, supplements, and alternative healing practices.

Genetics can provide reports on Disease Risk, Reproductive Health, Bones, Joint & Muscles, Respiratory Health, Metabolic Health, Pain, Hormone Health, Fatigue, Kidney & Urinary Tract, Immune & Inflammation, Skin & beauty, Brain Health, Cardiovascular Health, Personality, Sleep, Fitness, and Gut Health.
